If you want to achieve multi-function simultaneous operation on a small circuit board, it cannot be done with a bare PCB board alone. The bare board needs to be mounted, plugged in and soldered. This step-by-step process is called populated printed circuit boards.
This article will introduce you to the various processes of populated printed circuit boards.
In terms of technology, the process flow of PCBA can be roughly divided into four main links, namely: SMT processing → DIP plug-in processing → PCBA testing → finished product assembly.
In the SMT process, the components are generally matched and purchased according to the BOM configuration provided by the customer, and the PMC plan of the production is confirmed. After the preparatory work is completed, SMT programming is started, laser stencils are made according to the SMT process, and solder paste printing is performed.
Through SMT placement machine, components are mounted on the circuit board, and online AOI automatic optical inspection is performed if necessary. After inspection, set the perfect reflow oven temperature profile and let the board flow through reflow.
After the necessary IPQC inspection, the plug-in material can then be passed through the circuit board using the DIP plug-in process and then flowed through wave soldering for soldering. Then there is the necessary post-furnace process.
After the above processes are completed, QA is also required to conduct a comprehensive inspection to ensure product quality.
2. DIP plug-in processing
The process of DIP plug-in processing is: plug-in → wave soldering → foot cutting → post-soldering processing → board washing → quality inspection
3. PCBA test
PCBA testing is the most critical quality control link in the entire PCBA manufacturing process. It is necessary to strictly follow the PCBA test standards and test the test points of the circuit board according to the customer’s test plan.
PCBA testing also includes 5 main forms: ICT testing, FCT testing, aging testing, fatigue testing, and testing in harsh environments.
4. Finished product assembly
Assemble the shell of the tested PCBA Board, then test it, and finally it can be shipped out.
pcba production is a chain, and any problems in any link will have a great impact on the overall quality, and each process needs to be strictly controlled.
The above is about the four main links of PCBA process production. Each major link has countless small links to assist, and each small link will have one or some testing procedures to ensure product quality and avoid unqualified products from leaving the factory. . This is also the consistent style of Linke Electronics – customer orders are followed up by customer service personnel throughout the process from order placement to delivery, and you can be assured of delivery time and quality.
